Why Golf?
When I was introduced to the game of golf fifteen years ago, I instantly became a golf nut.
I've always loved playing sports, but just never gave golf a chance when I was a child even though several of my cousins who were my age were already into it. Of course, when I first gave it a try years later at a driving range, I couldn't put down the 7-iron I borrowed. It just befuddled me how a sport that looked so easy and simple was really so difficult and complex. I tried playing golf not because it was becoming a popular sport (this was way before Tiger became a household name), but because I really thought I could master this game--of course, I thought wrong.
As all golfers know, no one has ever mastered this game--not even Tiger, Phil, or any other top ten player in the world.
Anyway, the reason I decided to create a blog about golf is because I love the game and everything related to it except for the occassional out of bounds drive and shots in the drink.
